Tony Mon joined TOUSA in 2001 following a distinguished
35-year career spanning homebuilding, finance, investment management,
venture capital, broadcasting, and management consulting.
Mr. Mon co-founded Pacific Greystone Corp. in
1991, which he helped grow into a major regional homebuilder in
the Western U.S. that was later merged into Lennar Corp. Prior to
founding Pacific Greystone and serving as its Vice-Chairman, Mr.
Mon was Senior Vice President of The Ryland Group, and President
of Ryland Ventures Inc. He focused on new business initiatives,
corporate strategy, and the NYSE-listed homebuilding companys
national operations.
Previously, he was President of M.J. Brock Corp.,
a Los Angeles-based homebuilder and mortgage banker that subsequently
became a part of Ryland Group in 1987. Before M.J. Brock, Mr. Mon
was Senior Vice President of CIGNA Investment Group and President
of Philadelphia Investment Corp., a CIGNA subsidiary investing in
alternative asset classes. Prior to CIGNA, he was Vice President
of LIN Broadcasting Corp., an operator of television and radio stations,
and served for eight years as a consultant with Ernst & Young LLP
in New York.
Mr. Mon received his Bachelors of Science
degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and completed post-graduate
work at the New York University Graduate School of Business.
