Konstantinos
A. Stengos is the founder and remains a leader of the TOUSA, Inc. Group of Companies.
Born in Klima, Greece, Mr.
Stengos founded Technical Olympic S.A. in 1965 in Patra, Greece,
specializing in the construction of apartment buildings and public
works. He also founded two other construction companies, Mochlos
S.A. in 1973 and Toxotis S.A. in 1976. Technical Olympic and Mochlos
were listed on the Athens Stock Exchange in 1994. All three companies
today rank mgt02g the largest contracting companies in Greece, and
Mr. Stengos remains the creative and visionary leader of all the
companies.
Mr. Stengos has also founded
and acquired other construction companies in the United Kingdom,
Romania, and the United States. In 1999, he led TOUSAs
acquisition and merger of two U.S. homebuilding companies to create
TOUSA.
Today, the TOUSA, Inc.
Group of Companies is involved in a variety of construction projects,
including homebuilding, irrigation systems, drainage systems, road
building, tunnels, buildings, electro-mechanical works, harbor facilities,
industrial works, energy, construction of marinas, and generation
and management of electrical energy. Since the December 1999 acquisition
of Porto Carras Tourist and Hotel Complex, with the largest single
vineyard in Greece, the group also provides an entire spectrum of
tourist services.
Mr. Stengos is a graduate of
the National Technical University of Athens. He has been a member
of many contracting organizations and served as Chairman of the
Western Greece Department of the Technical Chamber of Greece for
nine years.
